Post Engine overheating?

So I’ve got a 96 5.8 f150 and about all winter its temp gauge hasbeen reading on the colder side but didn’t really think much ofit. Well now recently it’s been fluxuating from norm/colder side to the upperend towards being hot. Doesn’t seem to be running that hot but i do have asmall coolant leak that i have to add more coolant more than usual. Any ideas?

More likely the gauge temp sensor going bad. Mine always sits cold but I have gauges plugged in that tell me my actual temperature from the PCM.

Coolant leak.

Yeah im guessing its the temp. sensor beacuse i ran it around and checked the oil, no white so gaskets are probably good. I might go ahead and get a flush for my coolant and buy a new sensor.
