engine jerk/surge
1994 5.0 E40D it feels like it jerks forward real bad during acceleration, it feels like im feathering the throttle only on acceleration. it has rough idle. haven't checked codes because there is no check engine light.

Suggest to get the codes pulled to see whether any stored faults which may shed light.
Could be any one of many things, the more detail you can share, the better we can help since we can't see or hear things firsthand.
Had an instance wayback where a code wasn't thrown, bucking so badly under load that I thought my F150 done turned into a Bronco, but all seriousness aside, turned out to be a small chunk of carbon wedged in one of the plug gaps.
