Have a '96 F150 8 cylinder. Engine light on but cannot retrieve the code ?

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get the code or repair the truck ?

Is it a computer problem ?

Tried to retrieve the code with an OBD - no luck .

Check your fuses.

 

if you aint getting codes then your fuse for your cigarette lighter is blown.
