Default engine cutting out while driving.

i have a 96 shortbed 300 6cyl, 5 speed. it was a rust bucket but ran so good i replaced the bed and just recently bought brand new fenders and radiator support. while changing the bed i replaced the fuel tank and pump. it was running great. i had it over to my brother inlaws and we changed the fenders and radiator support. We both work alot so he did most of the work over a 2 week period. after i left there with the truck it seemed to have no power when floored and it would cut out or buck while going down the highway but never die. and it idles fine. so i changed fuel filter, cap, rotor, pugs and wires. And it was no help. There are no check engine lights on and they do work. even going 35mph in 3rd gear it will not stay steady just starts bucking or sputtering. I did notice the other morning it doesn't seem to do it when it's cold. but as soon as temp gage hits normal it starts. Any ideas? this engine doesn't leak anything or burn any oil. love the truck. Thanks

Hmmm, offhand it sounds like the throttle position sensor (TPS) has a problem, but that generally throws a fault code. Suggest to pull the codes, just to see whether the computer has flagged anything. If nothing else, you'll have an idea of what not to go after.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
