Thumbs up Engine cut out problem solved!

So my 95 F150 5ltr V8 XLT started cutting out rarely, then more & more progressively over a year until it cut out (but the engine was still running on idle) every time l used it.
l only use it for short hops to the gym or the store or Lowes etc anyway, but it was getting dangerous because cars behind would nearly run into me & l had to almost keep a finger on the hazard warning lights to alert them!!
ANYWAY, it was no more than the Throttle Position Sensor, about $37 from O'Reillies.
Runs like a champ now, & after paying $950 for it 9yrs ago & only forking out for tires, a clutch, & new plugs/oil/filters it is like money in the bank!!!

Yes, the bodywork is "as is", or "as was!"...LOL
There's a bit of a story to the price though....the original price was $3500, but it must have been a bad time of year or 95 F150's weren't so popular in Springfireld, MO 9yrs ago, but he couldn't sell it, so l watched the price go down in $500 increments until it got to $2500 on our local Craigslist then went to see it (I had a 1960 F100 at the time, but as winter was coming & the heating was non existant in the old truck l needed to get an upgrade with heating & cooling....& servo steering/brakes/etc!!!!)
Anyway, he was selling because it's a stick shift & he'd had knee surgery & couldn't press the clutch pedal because it gave him pain.
I offered him $2k which he reluctantly accepted & then when l said l would get the money from the bank in cash he started moaning about the fact that he now had to go & find a little auto box car to get around in, so l suggested that if l found a nice one would he do a straight swap?
he said yes, but as long as it had shiny wheel trims (yeh, he wasn't too bright!) so l went to see my friend Raymond who has a pile of cars in his yard behind hid transmission business in Springfield.
Anyway, Raymond finds me a passable running little turd of a car that l give him $925 for, l go to Walmart & buy shiny wheel trims for $25 & put them on, we do the swap, everybody is happy!!
