Has anyone eliminated the TFI part of the system and updated to a more reliable system. You'd have to still send a PIP signal to the PCM so the EFI would work properly.

I don't think you'll gain anything, but a mess, by trying to modify the system. I'm sure there is just some small thing ailing your truck. So simple you'll kick yourself in the rear when you figure it out.

These systems are pretty reliable, but they do act up from time to time to time.(extra emphasis).

 

I've had many of these pop up got my truck September 9 the very next day I got a system fault. I've had a few pop when I left work in the amd the windshield was foggy said sensor or camera was blocked. I had a couple were the emergency brake assist would flash in the Guage cluster would flash a warning but the road ahead of me was clear

 

You scrolled down too far & replied to a 4-year-old thread in a forum that doesn't apply to your truck. Go to your options, scroll about 3/4 down the page, and change this setting:
