I READ THAT THE EGR VALVE IN MY 94 F150 ENG- 302 . MAY BE CLEANED
FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE . how should it be cleaned ?
IN CASE I decide to replace it , is it a simple on off ,connect process ?

 

I cleaned mine but two months later the idle issue returned. I bought a replacement and it resolved the problem. It is a very straight forward replacement. Its not hard to do at all.

 

i tried to remove mine to clean it, i coated the bottom nut with a penetrate and i couldn't break the nut loose, BE VERY CAREFUL, start a week in advance and spray a little pb blaster once a day until you are ready to change it out. do this with all the nuts for the egr valve.
