Efi mfi?
Don't have a clue, Fords first injection was CFI (central fuel injection) which was two injectors in a carburator type of thing. One injector for each bank on a v-type engine. Then came EFI, electronic fuel injection, which changed the appearance of the engine dramatically due to the revised air intake, but it had one injector for each cylinder. Am thinking MFI is multiport injection (same as EFI) one injector for each cylinder.
I am jumping on this thread to see if you found an answer for your question fordtruckin. I have a 2009 STX vin "W" which indicates a 4.6 L 2V EFI. This is confirmed via original sticker and Ford VIN ID chart. Although, I go and purchase spark plugs and the only option all the big boys have are for a MFI. Do you know the difference from a EFI and MFI engine? My fuel rail has a injector for each plug.
