You will need a throttle linkage, throttle bracket, if aod you will need the trans shift cable, stock duraspark dist, intake, carb, crane fireball or msd 6a, ignition boxes make it convenient, a low pressure fuel pump, or google fuel inj to carb regulator, a keyed wire for ign box, also need to find the feed wire to the tank selector switch, on my old 86 it was pink w\ black stripe, its really not that hard, I did my 86 got more power, and better mileage.

 

well im going from a 5.0 to a 5.8 i have a edelbrock intake an hei distributor and i using a HD c4 trans

 

The hei simplifies the ignition and if going to 351 you will need the 351 ex manifolds, mounts should be the same. The engine\trans should fit, the only thing might be the drive shaft, is your truck 4x4?

 

nope 2wd ex cab long bed. im going to run headers.

 

drive shaft might work, its been a while since I saw a c4, I have all c6 transes so I cant remember if the c4 is shorter than the c6.
