Default Efi to carb

If I go from efi to carb, is all I need is intake, carb, fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator? I'm wanting to do so because my motor is sd and I really can't mod it like I want to.

Seems quite the opposite of the usual swap, what motor are you running and what kind of mods are you planning if you don't mind me asking?

I agree. There's plenty of SD options to get you torque without having to install a carb. Specifically what cam are you going with?

Also, if your trans an an automatic, consider whether or not it is electronic.

The cam I was wanting is a voodoo cam and I was also wondering what are the stock heads on my 87 302? I would like to keep to the efi but I'm wanting to put cam n heads and others to it and it is a auto trans

What are the specs on that voodoo cam? Or the part number. The stock heads are E7 heads.

It's not a voodoo, it's a lunati bracket master and all I can remember is 488/488. It says in the desc that it's good for stock efi engines

Sounds like this cam right here.

This is the same cam you mentioned in another thread.

Honestly, save up and buy a cam that will work. The intake duration is too high. Sell this cam and get what you can out of of it and put it towards a cam that's going to work.

It's your truck and you can do what you want, but I'll be perfectly honest and tell you that (in my opinion) you're making a huge mistake removing the EFI. Especially for a cam that is not going to perform in your truck. It will not pull on low end.

You'll spend more money on an intake, carb, fuel pump and other changes than you would on a cam and distributor.

You can even get a used cam that'll work in your SD setup. If you wanted to get ultra cheap, since your truck is an 87, you could even use a cam out of a 94-up F150 302 or an 86-88 Mustang 302 and it would be a much better upgrade than this Lunati.

Just my .02.
