I am going to replace my EEC, I can see where it plugs in on the fire wall, drivers side, I pull the kick panel on the drivers side and my e-brake assembly takes up the whole area covering the EEC, how do i pull the EEC to get the numbers off it? Or am i looking at the wrong thing here?

 

you pull it out of the engine bay, you remove the bolt that holds the wiring harness on, then 2 bolts that hold the cover over the computer. next (this is what i did because i didn't want to take the whole fender off pretty much....) i removed 3 or 4 screws holding the wheel well trim on towards the cab and had someone pull down on it from under the truck while i slid the computer out.
