Trouble opening door from inside truck
Any suggestions on why I am unable to open the door from the inside but can roll down the window and use outside door handle to open the door, the lock works on the door as does the key.
Do I need a new cable or the entire door lock?
Has anyone changed out anything on your door that sounds like this?
If so, where did you get the parts needed?
1994 Ford F150 XL
Thank you,
Gary

Does your inside handle have alot of movement when you've got it all the way pulled up? the internal door skins on these trucks are notorious for being extremely thin and metal sheers through...I know because my truck has this problem but I corrected it. Pull the panel off and check that first? if not, then your cable may have snapped or stretched.

i had this happen on my 95 f150
when i pulled the pannel off
and looked at the hinge that the handle is connected too
i noticed that where it pivioted it was starting to wear out
not allowing the cable to be pulled enough to open the door from the inside
so i got another hinge from a truck at a junk yard and it worked just fine
its an easy fix

You can get the parts from a Ford Dealer or a junk yard, do you feel any resistance when you pull on the lever? If not, it's broke, if so, it's probably broke. BTW, nice choice of font and size, like mine?
