does anyone how any pictures about this resistor you can fry on the computer thing. or how to get to it?

Want to say there use to be or still is a scam on Ebay about this. The sell you a resistor to put inline on one of the senors and suppose to fool computer for better timing or somtething like that...

Not flaming original poster, but that resistor is a scam. Can get the same results with a timing light...

 

a capacitor on the ECM, its discontued. where is it and how do you check it?

 

Must be talking about the flux capacitor...:S I am not the worlds greatest speller, and I dont speak fluent typo, were you trying to say discontinued or disconnected?

 

Dude, if a capacitor is bad in the ECM , then your pretty much out of luck. Unless you are an electrical engineer, and can rebuild the mother board in the ECM. It would just be easier to buy a reman'ed ECM..

But to be honest with you I am confused on what your are trying to ask... Who told you a ECM capacitor is bad????
