E4OD wiring problems...help Steve83!
1993 302 E4OD 4x2 SBRC with GT40 intake.
Truck ran fine, had a CEL from a EGR valve not getting exhaust gas. My truck caught on fire and the battery/headlights/wiring harness around the battery burned.
I disconnected the fuses for the headlights/blinkers and my truck ran fine with old harness with a new battery. Got a junkyard harness and headlight and other plastic BS.
I put the new harness in and realized my truck has the trailer brake control and the donor harness didn't. I just put in the new harness since I don't tow. The harness consisted of the power distribution box, and everything for the headlights/horn. Engine stuff is seperate and was left.
Now my E4OD is having problems. Putting it into drive just shifts it into third I believe, and I have to manually shift through the gears (I think, it feels that way). I don't know if the T/C is working. The OD OFF light does not work. Any suggestions as to what I should do? I plan on tearing out both harnesses and figuring out what is missing from the new one....
The Ford PN on the harnesses matched I think.
