Can anybody give proof as to whether or not there is a difference between the output shafts in a 2wd and 4x4 e4od. I know some transmissions do use different shafts between 2wd and 4x4 and that some use the same shafts either way. I'm thinking about converting a f350 over to 4x4 but need to know about the trans first. The rest of the swap is all figured out already.

 

According to FordParts.com for a 1991 F150 4x4(my truck) 2wd is 20" long and 4x4 is 14 9/32"
