Default E40d removal help

my truck is a 95 f150 super cab 5.8l v8 with the e40d tranny and it recently went out and im going to replace it with another tranny i have recently bought. what steps should i go through with prepping and actual removal of the tranny. im pretty mechanically inclined and have a shop with any tool i need. can someone help me with steps or a link to another post. also do i need to remove transfer case? i just read something about doing that and im not sure....

First drain all fluids ur also going to need a tranny jack. U can use a regular car jack but it's a pain. Then start by takeing the drive shAfts off and yes t-case to. Then I like to get the tranny jack under the trAnny while u unbolt the tranny from the cross member and tranny mount. Witch is pretty much all one piece the mount bolts into the cross member . Then u have to make sure u unplug all señsor ,linkAge,hoses, dipstick tube ext. maybe do that stuff before u remove the tranny mount to be safe. Now ur ready to remove the tranny from the motor sum of the top bolts might be a real pain. I've used a little mirror to pin point the top bolts. Once u get them all out u want to roll the jack and trans back alittle then down just incase the tranny isn't siting on the jack level it will sum times bind up on the motor . Let me no if u need any more help or questions threw the process .U ll be fine it's pretty easy also if u run into sumthing I didn't cover let me no good luck brother

Also pull the starter and the inspection cover on the bottom of the bellhousing. There are 4 nuts that hold the torque convertor to the flex plate. You'll have to remove those.
Use a socket on the bolt on the front of the crankshaft to turn the motor to get them all.
