If the unit you ordered is spectra brand you will have to rewire the plug because it comes with a pigtail that you will have to wire in to the factory wiring harness. The instructions that came with mine were wrong. The power and ground to the pump were reversed causing my pump to run backwards. A 94 may be different but on a 91 the orange wire is the ground and the black is hot.

Might want to clarify my self the two wires I was talking about are in the factory harness I failed to mention that if my memory is correct they list the orange as hot and the black as ground. I thought it was weird that Ford used an orange wire as a ground but that's ford for ya. Gotta love em.

so like it was suggested i went to check to the wires to make sure they were hooked up correctly. well i turned the key on engine off and i got nothing from any of the wires. with a test light or a digital multimeter. so what did i do wrong, i need to figure this out before i permanently install the new connector.

not that anyone responded but by searching others threads i figured it out. i didnt ground the diagnostic port originally. so i retested today wired it per jrh5610 instructions and she started right up on the rear tank. so happy
