Default door striker

well here it goes, I was replacing the door striker on my girlfriends 1992 f350, yes she has a bigger truck than I do , and I stripped out the clip inside the cab that it bolts to I tried using thread lock and jb weld with no luck so the only other thing I know to do is retap it and try and find a bolt the same size with a different thread count unless anyone knows how to replace this clip, any help is very appreciated

No actual experience with that but.. If you can pull interior panels apart and get to the back maybe you can just put a nut on? Or, if there is enough metal to do so you could step up to the next size thread, drill/tap it and install a new bolt. Or try to find a new clip from a junkyard
