Default door latch

ok so my passenger side door has started to rattle if when its close really tight
i think its the latch catch on the truck body because this plastic looking piece that looks like a shim is broke off
and what size torx bit takes it off so i can get it fixed cuz its about to drive me crazy

Well, though I don't remember what size I had used (I'm thinking T25ish, but I'm not sure), I can definitely tell you that the plastic bushing is what causes that rattle. Mine broke off, and I had to replace mine, also, lithium grease works GREAT to lube the door latches. I can close my doors with my pinkey now.

WD40 is great, but it's better to clean it out than lube it, the grease will stay put longer. As for what to use to break the torque with the torx bit, I like to use a breaker bar, using a wratchett to break torque only breaks wratchettes.

That's why you use Craftsman ratchets, if they break, they will replace it for free!
