Does the rear tank return to the front?
The fuel pump in my front tank is out, but the rear works fine.
The problem is that the rear tank seems to feed into the front tank..so I have a gas tank full of gas in the front that I can't get to. I'm going to go siphon it out and put it back in the rear tank, but is there any way I can sever the connection between the fuel tanks so the rear stops filling up the front tank?

There's a valve on one of the fuel pumps that controls this, but I don't know if it's the in-tank pump or the other one... someone who knows more than I do can add to this, or it's in the archives if you're so inclined to look
what i did was removed my front tank on my f-250 took the line running the return from the rear to the front cut it. crimped it and soldered. no problems was using my rear tank before and i was like wtf horrible gas mileage then one day it was running while i was hooking up my trailer my front tank was over filling through the cap lol and the valve is in the tank not external but u can do what i said save some time and money.
one more thing when u remove the front tank if you do, take out the fuel pump cut off the connects on the top crimp these and solder these not the flex line! lol then just plug into the return line . all there is to it.
hey, i have a 96 F150 with the same issue in reverse (front tank is filling rear). everyone seems to say the pump is the problem but i'm not sure which pump to replace to correct the issue so i just run out of my back tank now. good luck and I hope you get your issue resolved!
