Default Does the rear tank return to the front?

The fuel pump in my front tank is out, but the rear works fine.

The problem is that the rear tank seems to feed into the front tank..so I have a gas tank full of gas in the front that I can't get to. I'm going to go siphon it out and put it back in the rear tank, but is there any way I can sever the connection between the fuel tanks so the rear stops filling up the front tank?

There's a valve on one of the fuel pumps that controls this, but I don't know if it's the in-tank pump or the other one... someone who knows more than I do can add to this, or it's in the archives if you're so inclined to look

I would replace the pump so both work. i had this problem a year ago, and ended up having to replace both pumps because of sending issues.

Default same issue

hey, i have a 96 F150 with the same issue in reverse (front tank is filling rear). everyone seems to say the pump is the problem but i'm not sure which pump to replace to correct the issue so i just run out of my back tank now. good luck and I hope you get your issue resolved!
