Default do it yourself tune up

im thinking its time for a tune up. the plugs and wires are ez enuf to get to. but what im wondering is what else do i need to look at or replace to get the best possible results ?

cap and rotor, fuel filter,pcv valve, air filter...u can do all this yourself

Yeah and when you do the cap and rotor and wires make sure you don't mix up the position of the wires or you won't like the resulting backfiring or not running at all ...I remember doing my first tuneup and getting the wires so screwed up I had to look it up in a book to find the dist rotation,firing order,cyl position,etc and you know how us guys hate reading directions...I think that was the time I did the valve cover gaskets and tightened em up really good and of course they were leaking worse than before I changed them...learning by doing ya know!!

i definitly recommend the fuel filter but your gonna need a special tool to do it, auto parts store will have them, there called fuel line quick disconnects.

If it gets to the point of looking for things to do, you could do a seafoam treatment and replace the oxygen sensor(s).
