Do-It Yourself Bedliners......
I am looking to do my own spray in bedliner(Or roll on). There are so many companies out there with them now, I am having trouble figuring out which one I want to go with. I am wondering what products you guys have been using and what your thoughts are. Thanks
ive used herculiner on a previous truck, and it seemed to be one hell of a bed liner.... im getting ready to put herculiner in my f150s bed and on the bottom of my door jams...
we put herculiner on the cab of my buddies truck this summer, it went on easy, its easy to work with, an so far is holding up great, plus with the cab being painted in it no worries about scratches in the woods
he also tried the duplicolor spray on stuff on the flatbed and it flaked off b4 we could even get it on the truck
hard to tell but the chevy's cab is red Herculiner and the bed is black Herculiner

I would not go with the Bondo brand, I have one myself and have already scratched the thin layer. It is supposed to be the same material as the herculiner and others but it is an epoxy style without any kind of friction modifiers. This means that when wet it has about the same traction as wet waxed paint. The thickness of the liner is only about the same as a paint and primer coating and is harder so it will crack and chip off of the bed. I don't know if this chipping is caused from a lack of proper prep or not, most the time when I chipped it the gouge went down to the metal same as a paint scratch.
i did herculiner in my bed and its holding up pretty good. my only complaint is that i didn't put it on thick enough so when i was scooping dirt out with a shovel i chipped it in a few places. but i plan on adding more soon.
oh make sure you look around to cause i've seen the gallon kits for sale for upwards of 120 and i got mine for 75 which i've still seen cheaper.
