Default Do I need a PS Pump?

Was going to go take my truck off road today... noticed a small puddle of steering fluid when I got there after my first run. And it's just muck on the ground, no standing water, tree branches, etc. Just muddy ruts. Anyways, I looked under the truck after adding more and coming home. In 15 or so minutes, I drained half the filler neck thing on the PS pump on the way home.

I've gone under the truck, and found the leak. It's coming out of the gearbox where what I believe the Tie Rods hook up to it. On the bottom on the box, it's like a small gear I can see that hooks up to the tie rods. And it's leaking pretty good. Point in all this is that I'm afraid I'm going to have to replace the gearbox, but wanted to the you guys' opinion. What should I do? Or how is this fixable?

ive been told that if you put a small amount of brake fluid to to your ps pump it will swell the gasket around your pitman arm and it might stop it because brake fluid is slightlyh thicker i tried it on my old yj and it worked

It's the pitman shaft seal that is leaking you can try the brake fluid as tumsey07 said or you can pick up the seal kit for less than $10 at most part houses.

Mechanic looked at, it's the pitman arm seal. I'm having him do it simply because I don't have access to a pitman arm puller, snap ring pliers and 'cause I need it back for work on wednesday
