You can always try sucking some water up with a vacuum line when the engine is warm. That is what we use to do before seafoam was popular. It works just as well, to clean carbon deposits plus it is a whole bunch cheaper. And nobody will call the fire department because your truck is smoking..

Premium gas is a bandaid 4 your problem. Fix your truck correctly, And then there will be no need for band aids.

If I try premium and it stops pinging that would mean its probably got alot of carbon buildup making the compression slightly higher and creating hot spots right?
