Default Dented tail gate panel??

1991 f150.

i have the panel that is off but it has dents in it.
if it was part of the tailgate i would pull the dents bondo and paint.
The issue is that this is aluminum so can it be repaired or does it need a new one?

If it is the aluminum part with the logo and reflectors, just order another one.

New ones are ~$450+sh, if you can find them. Yes, Aluminum can be straightened. Take it to the local Dent Doctor (paintless dent repair).

Light assembly is plug and play. Tailgate looks minor - part of owning a truck!
