Default damn this a/c

ok so here the issue. i can cut my a/c on vent and it works great blowing cold then all of a sudden while driving it changes from vent to defrost, the floor then after a min back to vent. seems to do "ok" while sitting still just under accel it changes its mind. dont get me wrong i love that it works just wish it would stay on vent especially when its hot as mess in there on a warm damn and i really wanna cool off.

Suggest you have a vacuum leak.

The supply tube to the HVAC controls comes off the intake plenum. The control panel diverts the vacuum to the proper actuator.

If this happens only when you're in Max A/C mode, chances are better than average that the line supplying the recirc actuator in the engine compartment on the passenger-side firewall has failed / crumbled / cracked.

t's white in color on my truck - patching in a piece of vacuum line works. I just ty-wrapped the actuator to the recirc position and leave the A/C on normal.

+1 on the vacuum leak. you might even want to take it up a notch and just buy rubber hoses and hard vacuum hoses and replace it so you can be done for once and for all.
