Default Custom spring packs

I was wondering if anyone has done custom spring packs? Cause I originally got the idea where a buddy of mine put F550 springs under his 79 F250. So I got to thinking and found this.

http://www.jpmagazine.com/howto/16719/index.html

which was really interesting. I am going to go over to pirate 4X4 and see if anyone has ever done it. Just trying to gather info, cause I want to custom do up a spring pack for my F150 by combining my 150 and 250 springs together.

Just measure eye to eye and width, I am sure they can be made you just have to make sure they are staggered properly.

Well my plan was using the 250 top spring with the eyes, cut the eyes of the top 150 spring and put it atop the 250 srping then from there just use allt he springs up making sure it goes from big to small. Any reason why what I said wouldn't work???

Update: While I had a bunch of time to burn in my shop today I took my pad and pencil and started ar ough draft of the spring back, while having ever catalog I have open tot he 4WD stuff, and a few Peterson 4 wheel drive and off road magazines open. I came to the conclusion I must be doing something right. Cause in a lot of the magazines they talked about how blocks multiplied axle wrap when the axles are under the springs, so I think this would be the best way to get height. Now I cam up with throwing in a Ad a leaf to 'gain' 2 inches to make up for taking out the blocks. I was wondering if people could give me info the the add a leafs they have used and if they liked them =)

I know there was a member on here that put the F250 rear springs on his F150 and it gave him a few inches of lift to the rear. The F250 springs are very stout compared to the F150 springs.

If you cut the springs make sure you take equally off each end.
