Default Cracked Engine Mount/Frame?

I took a close friend with me when I went to buy my truck, he is an out of work mechanic and he looked it all over and said it seemed to check out with no issues. I get under the truck today because I wanted to check out about spacing out my bumper because my tires are hitting it.

Then I see this and my excitement of owning a truck I think just disappeared.

Give me the good, the bad and the ugly.. Last thing I want is a repair bill of thousands, if its even repairable. All I really wanted was just a work truck/hunting truck that would last many years (I only would drive this thing probably 1000 miles a year or less)

I called my friend over who lives just down the street and showed him and all he could say was its such a clean break it looks factory

flareside nailed it. Be sure to get both sides flush before welding the plate over it.

Its not as bad as it looks. Should be an easy one for ya.

I lack a torch and have a CHEAP welder that I dont trust for this job. Whats me best bet, contacting a auto repair shop, or contacting someone with metal work talent? Looking for the most affordable route.

My old 86 frame cracked in half just after the bend, I cleaned the crack, chamfered the crack, welded it, and lasted until a tard on a cell phone destroyed the rear of the truck, my truck was parked in front of my house, truck totaled but the weld held up.
