Default Couple of Problems looking for some help

Alright so I've got a couple things going on with my truck right now. It's a 1995 F150 5.0 with 283,000 miles and I'm up in New England so rust is a problem. I got this truck in July and before that it was a landscaping truck and a spare for a guy. I've already replaced the master cylinder, the starter, the radio, and the passenger radius arm bracket and bushings. I'm getting 12mpgs and wondering what I can do to improve that, get some rust off, and just anything I should replace in general. Thanks.

There is not much you can do to get any significant gains in fuel mileage.
Is the 12mpg driving around town, highway or a combination of the two?

You can try replacing the fuel filter, giving the truck a tune-up. That should help it run better, at least, and may help fuel economy as well.

There are a few threads here that address fuel mileage concerns, try looking them up and see if there are any other suggestions in them that you may want to try.

Good luck.

seafoam costs like 10 bucks and its not going to hurt it so why not do it, i like the stuff and put it in all my stuff.
as far as rust learn to live with it or start thinking about either a new truck or a complete rebuild of yours now.
