coolant leak on back of engine
hey yall this is somewhat urgen as the truck is grounded till i fix the leak. like i said in my intro i just got a 92 f150 5.0 4wd. i have been fixing leaks and im working on the cooling system now. i put in a new radiator, and fixed leaks in the heater hoses. well i put coolant in her, cranked it up and everything was good till the thermostat opened up i suppose because she got really hot, really fast, and my buddie said when i pulled off there was a trail of coolant. the leaks are on the back of the engine and it looks like its on the passenger side but im not sure. what kind of cooling lines did ford put back there? or what else could it be. thanks yall
I don't know a whole lot about engines but I had the same issue with a 95 Blazer once and was told it was the freeze plugs. I don't know if all engines are set up the same way though so I could just be talking out my *** here.

can anybody ID this part for me?its the plastic piece sitting on the intake the the tube it attaches to, which in turn attaches to some kind of valve or something that has lines running to the block/heads. and now i cant get whatever it was to leak, but when she gets hot the temp climbs super fast and she pukes up coolant would this mean my thermastat is bad? this is with the rad cap off btw i was trying to get the air out of the cooling system.
