Default Converting Speed Density to MAF

on my 93 F150. Can somebody help me with this. My transmission I think is AOD. This truck in some future time will be a performance truck. Would that transmission be suitable. Would I have to get a new computer to work with the MAF? If so can somebody help with a list and prices of what parts I should get

Distributor, wiring harness, computer, ICM, MAF, tubing, stock airbox, tube to t.b.
prices are going to vary.
Do you want to continue running the aod automatic?
not you don't have to do the converter just to do the maf conversion

If I'm gonna be going for performance one day would you keep the AOD?

What price?

I read somewhere that somebody used a Mustang Computer when they did the MAF swap on their F150

Or should I go with a 95 Computer

I use a mustang EEC from 94-95 my truck was already MAF but I needed
the stang EEC for other purposes the
W4H0, U4P0 are AOD-E trans
T4M0, J4J1 are manual trans

My truck uses the T4M0 for EFI and a stand alone TCS from www.becontrols.com/products/electronicscat.htm controlling a built up
4R70W.

Choosing between an automatic and a stick is completely up to you. i prefer a stick for a street/strip or street vehicle because there alot more fun to drive. But for a full race set-up you could go either way too. Automatics are really consistent but i think i might go lenco 5 speed, we'll see.
If you want to go with a stick i've got a built m50d w/ hurst shifter.
As far as the computer goes i think it would be easier for a novice with a stock set-up but you could run the mustang computer, but like dominick said you would need to run a 5-speed computer with and aftermarket trans controller.
also the reason i said most or all of the stuff when i was talking about the stuff i had is because i had a stick and your is an automatic, the only thing you would need different if you keep the automatic is the computer, everything else will work. you could go get a 95 auto computer if you want. IF you want to do both the trans and the mass air i'll let them all of it go for $600, if you just want the stuff for the mass air swap, i'll take $150, its alittle better than the $700 for ford racing
