Default convert to LSD costs

hello i was wondering what the PARTS cost to change to a LSD right now my truck has the stock 3.55 gears and 8.8 rear end. id like to know the price for just putting LSD in and possibly converting to 4.10 LSD Im on the fence with which i should do still. to add i only want part costs. Im friends with a mechanic who will do it for free.

Gears alone are probably 2-300, then the extra stuff for LSD adds on. Look into an eaton or detroit locker, they should be selectable, and cheaper than putting in a LSD

what????? shhh..... its ok you'll learn

a set of new 4:10 gears for an 8.8 rear axle will run you about about the 150 range

a factory trac lok will run you 350 NEW it is a limitied slip (posi) unit

and a full detroit locker runs in the 650 range.

you should check out power trax lock rights, they slip right into the open carrier and stand up well in off road conditions. and they rrun about 300 bucks.

all prices are from jeffs bronco graveyard except the detroit locker it is from summit
