I'm a new member and need some help. I have a 1990 f150 5.0 two wheel drive and want to order a new ecu. The problem is there is many different past numbers. I dont trust the one in my truck to be the correct one so I don't want to use that number. Where could I find the correct part number by using the vin number? The ford dealer says they don't keep records that far back 'Thanks' Eric.

 

There should be a calibration code sticker on the door jamb, see if it matches up with anything on your old ECU.
