No kidding, I can't pop this nut. I would appreciate any helpful tips other than yanking the crap out of it.

Soak w/penetrant. A good pair of vise grips. You may break the entire post loose from the Coil body, so start thinkin about a replacement coil. I wouldn't an MSD Coil for a door stop. (Actually I think I do have an MSD Coil doorstop)

Does it make sense to do a wet test on #8 only?

Look's that way Big E!
Low compression in one cylinder usually indicates a bad exhaust valve. Low compression in two adjacent cylinders typically means you have a bad head gasket. Low compression in all cylinders would tell you the rings and cylinders are worn and the engine needs to be overhauled.

Y-Dawg, I hope you had a holidaze and that you're reving up for the new, New Year. Since I'm close to the 75% ratio, what do you think is next? Pull the heads (Whoa), new gaskets, rope trick on #8, or have the heads rebuilt? What's the going rate on head reconditioning in your part of the country? By the by, we had more snow for the holidays so we're somewhere around 40" and climbing.
