Well that is just one set of codes. Our trucks repeat themselves once.

311- Thermoactor air system inoperative
538- could be operator error meaning you touched the throttle during test otherwise it is invalid cylinder balance test due to CID circuit failure
632-Trans control switch circuit did not change states (operator error)

You need the KOEO's & Continuous Memory codes if there is any, before moving on to the KOER's. Otherwise KOER's codes are not trustworthy.

Not on that year. His engine is EFI. EFI's are MAP sensored.

C/B test can only be preformed on SEFI (Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection). Which was only available in the last year's of the OBD1 generation engines. Usually accompanied w/ MAF sensor, rather than MAP.


MAF sensors detect real time air flow, where MAF sensor's can only monitor Manifold pressure...but all that's another story.
