You are probably not following proper test procedure. Engine hot or cold? Engine should be up to normal operating temperature for diagnosis. Also known as ACT sensor, if equiped, it is screwed into the intake manifold. It looks like this.Follow proper diagnosis before replacing any parts.

engine was warm. Ive got a cool thermostat because its so hot in florida most of the time. Normally needle is on the N.

Its amazing how ignorant you are. Do you have any clue how hot an AC condenser gets which is mounted only 1/4" away from the radiator.

What exactly do you think that has to do with anything you've been talking about in this thread so far? Maybe you should start teaching engineering to Ford, and to the ASE - apparently they're ignorant, too.

You won't get much help when you have a hissy fit. If your engine can't maintain proper operating temperature with the stock thermostat, maybe you should start with the cooling system and educate yourself as well.. Good luck with your problem.
