Clutch issues
My 95 f-150 with the straight six and I'm having clutch pedal problems. I thought that the MC was going bad because the pedal was mushy and it still had fluid. Thought it was the slave cyl leaking or something. So I bled it to use it and not have to jerk the tranny and just put up with putting fluid in it daily. Well it had good pedal when I parked it and then I go to move it this afternoon and it was the same thing all over again. Clutch would barely disengage and would engage almost instantly. Checked the fluid thinking it leaked out but it had plenty. So I pump it about 15 times and it has good pedal again and can use it about 4 times after that. Then it goes back to nothing until it's almost at the floor.
Is the master cyl bad or is there just an asston of air in the line? I have a new master cyl but want to make sure that is the problem before I install it. The tranny was dry so the slave cyl didn't seem to be leaking.
