It's not illegal, some towns just have decibel limits, like Portsmouth for example.

if you have to pass emissions, its going to be quiet no mater what you do, where I live (Wasilla Ak) there is no emissions test, I can legally have my truck straight piped (which it is) as long as I dont make tons of noise... around the cops . but almost all the cops here dont care as long as your not constantly romping it.

yeah technically there not illegal but milford has a no straight pipe law and theres a few cops around here that are a little overboard on highschool kids. plus i cant afford any points on my liscense right now so i figured id go the safe route
