Check Engine Light and MPGs?
When the check engine light comes on I get about 10mpg hwy When it goes off I get about 15 on the hwy.
When the light came on I had it checked and they said it was the O2 sensor. Shortly after having it checked the light went off and I haven't had a problem since. I'm currently paying around $4.10 for gas so I'm trying to get the problem fixed. The check engine light is currently off and went off on its own. I would like to know what to do if it come back on. I just don't want to chase the check engine light around and change out parts that don't need it yet just to find the problem. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be. I currently have 105k on this engine and the entire truck has never given me problems since I bought it 3 years ago.
