The one thing you want to remember about glasspacks is they do go bad eventually, then in my opinion they sound like crap.
I got my truck done yesterday (had diff mufflers put on and new tail pipes out the back with 16 inch tips) and it sounds pretty good, he didnt do what I wanted, just because he didnt have the flowmaster super 40s I asked for but I'm pleased with the sound, and with the power. I cant believe what kind of difference it made with the mufflers. Their called V3's I guess vortech makes them, all welded stainless, its got a nice rumble at idle and I can hear it while I'm driving. I couldnt before with the flopros. Remember as well, the bigger the pipe you put on the less low end torque you will have. I learned this from the guy thats done my exhausts....3 inch flows better, but with 2.50 or 2.25 pipe you will gain some low end. I'm glad I did it I can definitely tell the diff.

I have a 300 I6 with stock exhaust of 2 cats and the stock muffler, later this week i am going to take off both cats and put in a straight pipe with stock muffler, how will that sound? Later when i get some $$$ im gonna get a flowmaster or somethin similiar, prolly cheaper, what you think?

basicly just deeper... thats what mine had on it stock... i took out the tail pipe so my flowmaster exits mid bed...no curves or anything yet.. it wont be much louder... i ran my truck with no muffler and my cat blew out the back (169k on it ) so its basicly a pipe all the way back to the flowmaster just dont hack your thumb open when you do this liek i did the other day.. Should got stiches.. probly coulda heard me cussing from a mile away

Never wear out? Impossible. ALL glasspacks are "packed" with steel wool and fiberGLASS, hence the name. Eventually, the steelwool and fiberglass will wear out, no matter who makes em'....
