Default changing ring and pinion-Any tips?

95 xlt 4x4 with 3inch body on 33's switching to 4.10 gears front and rear. not to worried about the rear but the front is a new deal for me. any tips or things i should be prepared for in the job before i get started?

Just pull the axles, the unit unbolts from the back, the whole pumpkin comes out, I believe it is a dana 30, just look up the specs for a dana 30.

Its a dana 44.


Unbolt the third member from the front, pull the hubs and spindles apart to pull the axle shafts out, undo the c clips, pull the axles shafts out, drop out the third member.

Or some order in this. I haven't done it yet, but as yours pulling it apart, it shouldn't be hard to figure out what's stopping the third member from droppin' out. Don't mash yours toes. Its pretty heavy.
