Default Cat. Removal

hey im new here and i was putting a new engine in my 1991 Ford F-150 with a 300 inline and I was going to remove some of the emissions crap. I saw on another post you can just cut the cats off of the 91s cause they dont have the back o2 sensor but wat do you do with the first one...can u just unplug it or do you have to drill a hole in the new tubing and put it in there

Leave the o2 right where it is & remove the cat. W/o that senor, you have no fuel trim.
