Buzz?

When I turn my wheel a loud buzzing noise produces, is it my steering box or my power steering pump or what??

If its coming from under the hood its most likely the power steering pump. Ford pumps get louder as they get older. Check the fluid level.

you mean like a winding kind of sound. my dads 94 f150 does that. he says it needs oil but has never put any in and has ran it like that for yrs. never seemed to bother anything either so hes just left it alone.

Mine does it too. Like said, these pumps get noisy with age, and I'd there EVER low on fluid.. Forget it.. They'll never shut up

I replaced mine in about September of last year and it was a used one that had like 45k on it and it's still noisy no matter what I do lol

Well damn lol guess my only option is to completely replace it, I'm so tired of it, my 96 has over 230 on it lol
