If your going to change the bed side dont waste time and money on spot weld bits, there expensive and tend to wair out fast. Simple cut off wheel and grind them out. Trace the edge of the old panel first with a marker so this way you get the correct fit to your cab. Looking at your photos you will probably need the inner wheel lip as well. Your first time will take 4-5h I have it down to about an 2h but i have done alot of them. Its only metal can be fixed.

 

I believe I'm gunna let the body shop do it all.
