Bent frame
I just found out that my trucks frame is bent a little. All it's doing is making the front driver side tire be a little closer to the fender. Anyone know about how much this would be to get fixed or if it's even worth it ?
If nothing else is going on - such as odd tire wear or sidewinding down the road - suggest the least expensive solution would be to let it ride.
It's not unusual for older trucks to have frames that are bent, where the bed looks a bit tilted in relation to the cab when viewed from the back, or such as in your case.
Suggest that the cost of fixing may be on the order of 1/3 to 1/2 the value of the vehicle - just WAGging $300 and up as a ballpark cost. Best to get a quote from someone who knows and has seen the vehicle, then make the call for yourself.
If the vehicle is mechanically safe-n-sound, and no other quirks - wouldn't worry about it, IMO.
Are you sure the frame is bent, or is there the possibility that there is an alignment problem or a sagging/weak spring?
