No problem bro. I know there are some dumbies that do stupid stuff. I'm by no means a mechanical genius, but I am smart enough to know not to pry a belt off. LOL!

I dont think it will be the Pwer Steering Pump either...I have had them blow the pump out and the shaft still held the pulley square enough the belt stayed on...it would have to be cocked quite a bit to do it...
beings it is coming off on the drive pulley means it is coming loose somehow...

Yeah I just bought a belt tensioner, and I am gonna put it on in the morning. I don't think I needed to replace the water pump and thermostat, but at least I have the piece of mind knowing it's new. I really don't want to see the day where they are going to have to try and get it on a tow truck. LOL! Any way guys thanks for all the help and if the tensioner doesn't fix it I will be on here asking more questions.

when you took the belt off what was the reason did you replace something or take one of the pullies off cause maybe it didnt settle on right meaning fall back into place check to make sure all the pullies are tight and its prob the tentioner springs go bad as some would say they lose there springy ness lol but yeah make sure all the groves on each pully are smoth and not damedged !!! if there is it could cause the pully to jump off well good luck

I was just putting a new belt on for maintenance. I guess I shoulda gone with the old saying if it's not broke don't fix it. I replaced the water pump and tensioner. All the grooves on the pullies look fine. The mother f'r is still coming off. Any more suggestions?

if it is coming off the bottom pulley then it is either the next pulley on the left or right that is doing it...
left would be AIR pump and right is Power Steering...

a pulley is a pulley...unless something hit it and bent it..it may be the pump itself?
also carefully look at the brackets...it is not uncommon for a bracket to crack and break...check for cracks...
I have welded several Ford and GM brackets on trucks that have had stress cracks...

I don't think it's the pump. The guy at Autozone said that the power steering pump has a quarter inch of play in it. I will check for stress cracks in the morning. I double checked the mounting bracket that holds the power steering pump to make sure it's on right. I can see the top and bottom parts touching the block, so I know it's on right.
