Question Beeping noise. PLEASE HELP!

Hello everyone,
I own a 1995 Ford F150 Ext V8 5.8 L. Whenever i open the driver side door a warning beep comes on until it closes. This happens no matter if the key is or isnt in the ignition. Also no matter if the lights are on or off. I dont know what the purpose of the beep would be other than to tell me the door is open? Does anyone know the the purpose of this beeping noise? And more importantly is there anyway i can make it stop? possibly cutting a wire or pulling a fuse? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Matt

i think the sensor went bad or its grounding out or something. Most people just disconnect it. its for the lights or the key in the ignition.

Am liking the ignition key cylinder myself. Remove shroud and inspect.
