Default Battery cable help

Anyone know what are these two wires/connectors that connect to the negative battery cable? The wires go into the wire loom in front of the radiator and I don’t know what they connect to. I need to replace my cable and, of course, I can’t find one with these connections. This is on my 87 F150 4.9 manual.

Is that just a fuse holder? Glass fuse inside? If so, replace with different fuse holder type and same amp rating fuse.

They are just extra grounds, you could attack ring terminals to them and hook them up to the new cable/terminal that way.

What's wrong with the cable - why do you think it needs to be replaced? It looks like the clamp has been overtightened, but that's easy to replace:

There’s been several times I’ve had to fiddle with the cable to get the truck to start, it’s pretty corroded where the cable meets the terminal. Also, down closer to the starter it has been in contact with the engine crossmember and has rubbed and worn about halfway through the cable. Just wanting to replace it before it leaves me stranded.

The wear against the crossmember indicates that the engine mounts are broken (as usual). Fabricated polyurethane mounts are vastly superior, and there are several suppliers (including me).

But it's also easy to stop that wear, simply by bending the cable away from the crossmember, so it doesn't rub; &/or zip-tying it away (use only black zip-ties; other colors can't handle the heat); &/or by adding some split-loom harness cover to protect the cable (like the lower radiator hose should have near the steering box).
