Default Basic maintenence tips???

Hey guys, just looking for some quick tips for properly taking care of my 94 F150. I already know about the oil changes every 3k miles. I just got my truck a few months ago and I would like to keep her as long as I possibly can. Thanks!

Honestly, Changing oil every 3K miles is a waste. I go 5K now on dino oil and 7-8 on synthetic. Today's oils are designed to run allot longer that yesterdays oils. Good filters, plug changes as needed and seafoaming the intake and fuel tanks every so often is a must. Just my .02!

Tires are probably the most important and most often neglected part of vehicle maintenance. Keep them inflated properly and check them often for pressure and proper wear patterns and tread depth.

I do my oil every 3k miles because I do allot of short burst driving in town. Plus I get my oil fairly cheap with my work discount.

Grease all the fittings each oil change, rotate and inflate the tires, check the diff and transfer case fluids and keep that air filter clean.

Grease your balljoints, tie rod ends, u-joints if they have zirc fittings.

Spray off the undercarriage really well. Regrease as stated above. If the wheel arches are rust free, clean behind them and spray with rust inhibitor. Same with the leaf spring hangers, radiator support, and any other area you may see as a potential problem. You can also inspect, clean, and grease your brakes and re-pack the wheel bearings.

Keep your engine compartment clean and you can catch leaks before they get out-of-hand. Inspect battery cables and connections and clean the terminals.
