Hi all, I recently purchased an 1995 F150 Eddie Bauer edition. Its in pretty good shape, but over the past week or so I've started having a problem with the back up lights. Fact is, they just don't work. I want to also point out that neither does the cruise control and the courtesy lights wont turn on when i shut off the truck, it does go on if I open the door. I've checked all the fuses and they seem to be all intact. This leads me to think there is a problem inside the steering column. (perhaps a plug that isn't). I don't have any mechanical experience but I'll have to start someplace. Any ideas of where else I should look? Thanks in advance.

 

your dome light will only come on automatically with the doors open. reverse lights would probably be either the bulbs are burned out, or you Manual Lever Position Sensor(MLPS) might be out of alignment. you should pick up a haynes or similiar repair manual if you plan on doing things yourself.
